Ya know, it's pretty darned easy to plug in anything you don't like as
in "If you tell a life enough times the people will come to believe it
to be the truth. Today ___________ are telling us that
_____________." Let's see, I'll try a few of my pet peeves:
(prior to April, 2003) Today the Bush Administration is telling us
there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, poised and ready to
clobber America with another 9/11.
Today the Bush Administration is telling us we can cut taxes and
increase defense spending and not worry about the deficit!
