Seeking an AS/400 Operational Support Analyst for a 1 year contract for
Toronto, providing the following services.
Provide operational support to all components of the AS/400 platform. This
includes all system administration including security, backup, queue
management, printing, and console monitoring and systems management
functions.
Provide operational support for all functions to maintain 99% availability,
integrity, and reliability of the system. This includes applying PTF's and
working with IBM support to maintain this high availability.
Provide assistance in the transition of the current AS/400 -OS/2 environment
to an AS/400 Windows environment.
Monitor and evaluate the performance and resource utilisation of the AS/400
platform and design detailed tuning or upgrades to hardware or software
where indicated; implement approved recommendations.
Design, write and maintain OS/400 CL programs required as part of the user
interface, operator interface and custom utilities.
Test and document programs which enhance the base system operations.
Provide technical support for OS/400, CA400, WAF/400, MQ Series/400, Content
Manager/400 and Facsimile Support/400 v3.2 ensuring that they operate
effectively and efficiently
Experience:-
Atleast 6 years experience in AS/400 operations and support
