I doubt the sight of it would be any more disturbing than the sight of
him fully clothed.
Geez, you can take kids to the zoo to watch monkeys masturbating in
their cages but holy hell, don't let them see a picture of a naked
man.

"Fellow Christchurch woman Jo Cotton, 36, has written to the gallery
requesting the photograph's removal. She believes the 3m-high image "crosses
the line of good taste" and is unsuitable for children.
"An art gallery is a public place for the general public and I don't know if
they have a social conscience about what they put up."
Both woman are Christians, but insist they're not prudes."
What a strange thing to write. Is the author suggesting that Christians are
usually prudes, or is it just poorly written?

This wouldn't be "True Bliss" Jo Cotton, would it?
Probably not old enough.

OT: "I knew I was destined for a career in comedy early in life when I
realised the first four letters of my name spelt joke."
Jo Kendall, comedian.
Then there's Joke Ocker, of course. And the other day, I came across a
Joe Clegg; I thought of Rolf Harris's Jake The Peg, or maybe a dummy
one sticking out of a car boot.
One of those name combinations you have to be careful with. Like
giving your child a name ending in A when the surname is something
that will carry an intrusive R unfortunately - for instance radio
reporter Natasha(r)Utting.
Or did she marry into it? I'd be inclined to keep my birth-name if it
were me.
Christ Laidlaw this morning was very careful with Natasha(pause)
Utting the first time, but then started slipping again.

Thank you, I was wondering where I knew that name from.

When I was in hospital recently, the registrar was called Sam Henalla.

Not in a country so terminally witless as to invent the notion of one
member of a lesbian couple being regarded, and named, as the "father".

"Shemale" 4,030,000 references on Google. That, I suspect, is only the
porn sites, never mind the ones that discuss this kind of
transexuality seriously.
More such sites than the population of New Zealand. Just *slightly*
weird.
And they're not even natural breasts in Mika's case; they're plastic.
Even lawyers have been known to do that.

I didn't register, when I looked at the picture on the link, that these were
false breasts. I agree, somehow that makes it seem less peculiar.
