16 Face Charges Of Sex In Public
HARRISONBURG, VA - Police arrested 16 men on charges stemming from
alleged sex acts performed in public view inside an adult retail
store.
The arrests followed the sealed indictments of 26 men charged with
having sex at Harrisonburg Adult News in an area inside the shop where
patrons could see them, said Marsha L. Garst, the city's
commonwealth's attorney.
Customers complained to police after entering the store without
realizing the full nature of the business, Garst said at a news
conference yesterday.
Undercover officers from Harrisonburg and Richmond conducted a
three-month investigation using extensive video surveillance at the
store, she said.
"Decisions were made that we would not tolerate this blatant, illegal
conduct," Garst said.
Charges include indecent exposure, sodomy and solicitation to commit
sodomy. Two of the unsealed indictments included charges that suspects
assaulted the undercover officers, Garst said.
The store owner has been notified that his business license could be
endangered, the prosecutor said.
A local grand jury returned the indictments Monday. Indictments for
the 16 suspects were sealed until they were arrested. Indictments for
the other 10 remained sealed pending further arrests, Garst said. -

Yeah, right! You perverted, promiscuous homosexuals deserve tolerance
and acceptance into mainstream society -- you demonstrate how much
so everyday with behavior like this. This is the kind of life that you
want to talk about in the public school -- to tell our young people
it's ok to live this way. Filthy scum!
