I also prefer AnyBrowser (or freedom of choice), but it's not my choice
to use 3494 Interface - and this is optimized for IE. Dot.

So either refuse to buy 3494's, or kick up an evil stink until it's
fixed. I feel quite strongly that hardware vendors should do better than
this. That's assuming that the 3494 can't simply be patched to work with
compliant browsers.

Or just drop IBM platform at all. <g>
Chnage decision about 3494 purchase because of browser for 3494
specialist ? It's crazy.
BTW: I would vote for 3949 Specialist enhancement, adding new functions,
browser suppor is least important for me.
Last but not least: I've got to admit: it is NOT MINE 3494. Privately I
don't have neither mainframe, nor library. All the equipment belongs to
the company (-ies) I work. <vbg>
