[description] Prepare proof of claims for bankruptcy courts,
trustees, and attorneys. Review and send files to legal counsel
on litigation matters. Perform follow-up calls regarding
documents/information not yet received from debtor attorneys.
Negotiate with debtor's counsel for best treatment of Arcadia's
claim and collateral. Review mail and update miscellaneous
bankruptcy screens and collection notes. Assist external and
internal customers with questions and concerns on bankruptcy
related issues. Effectively communicate with internal customers
(Regional Collection Centers, Remarketing, Document Services,
etc.). Consult with Litigation Specialist regarding the referral
of complicated/legal matters to outside counsel. Perform
follow-up calls to debtor attorneys on voluntary surrender of
vehicles. Activate the hold or release of sale on repossessed
vehicles. Performs other duties/activities as assigned and/or
requested. [requirement] High school diploma or equivalent
required. Two (2) year degree in a legal assistant/paralegal
program a plus. Knowledge of Chapter 13 Bankruptcy. Strong
written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented with the
ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. A high level
of self-motivation and ability to work independently. Previous
PC experience required. Previous AS400 experience helpful.
