The BISO will have a functional reporting line to the GISO for
Engineering. BISO will be required to carry out the following
functions: 7 The development and maintenance of the individual
business' Security Plan. 7 Identify and specify appropriate
information security training and awareness programs. 7 Manage
the RA and CAP process. 7 Prepare business for upcoming IS audits
by ARR and external regulatory agencies. 7 Reviewing and advising
O&T on the information security requirements of their business'
products or services. 7 Providing ad-hoc information security
advice to their business managers and staff. 7 Work closely with
the COB (Continuity Of Business) Officer in identifying highly
critical systems and services. 7 Reporting and metrics of
associated IS initiatives. The BISO's role will emphasize the
development of business focused security plans, assessing the
business risk and ensuring compliance. It is not expected that
the BISO will have direct responsibility for the operations or
technology functions supporting the business.
