Description: Act as co-lead senior programmer/developer of
the Global Messaging Directory Team's current SQL Server
2000/.NET environment. Charged with introducing new
functionality to replace legacy UNIX PERL processing, while
maintaining all current processing. The Global
Messaging Directory Team is responsible for the following:
Maintaining the business rules behind e-mail and the e-mail
directory; All citigroup.com internet e-mail addresses
(approximately 200k); Providing data for Global E-Mail Backbone
Services; Providing and populating data in Global Exchange
Directory; Providing a Global Electronic Directory and the data
behind it; Providing data feeds to over 150 clients; Scripts
behind Mailbox Migrations; As it can be seen above, the Global
Messaging Directory Team is a high profile team with high profile
responsibilities. This opportunity will give the candidate room
to show their resourcefulness and ingenuity for crafting
solutions to fit unique business needs in the tight-deadlines
provided. This person will have the opportunity to utilize and
grow their Database/SQL skills as we move away from the legacy
system and onto our replacement system, a Microsoft SQL Server DB
implementation utilizing .NET, C# and XML.
Qualifications: Expert Database skills: SQL Server 2000
database design and implementation. Transact-SQL, Stored
Procedures, Triggers, database performance tuning and
optimization. SQL Server 2000 DBA experience. Expert .NET and C#
NET Framework and C# programming, ADO.NET. HTML, Web
Development/ASP.NET; Visual Studio.NET; Object Oriented
Programming and Design. Experience with MS Exchange
(5.5, 2000); Windows 2000/Active Directory, LDAP and PERL
scripting big plus. Requires expert problem solving skills and
can occasionally work under pressure. Production Support
required. Must be a self-starter who can "think out of the box".
Excellent communication and documentation skills. Must have the
ability to work in a team environment.
