Squires Resources Inc., is a Canadian Search Firm based in Barrie, ON. We
currently have a requirement for a Technical Solutions Specialist -
Telephony to join a leading offshore communications firm. This is a well
established company in the process of launching local telephony services
(Residential, SoHo, and Enterprise) and requires a skilled individual to
serve as the main point of contact for all voice related requests, both
trouble ticket and Moves/Adds/Changes/Deletes (MACD's).
Requirements include:
· Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or Telecommunications.
· Min 2-3 years experience working with a variety of Key systems and PBX
equipment, Local and long distance services, Centrex, ISDN, PRI and
familiarity with Internet.
· Direct experience with Class 4/5 switch (Nortel DMS, Lucent 5E or similar)
· Familiarity with installation, maintenance, repair, and programming of
numerous models of equipment and supporting devices, specializing in voice
Telephony.
· Advanced understanding of telephony hardware/software for PBX systems, key
systems, voicemail systems (for analog and digital systems).
· Familiarity with voice and data Protocols (OSI Model).
· Experience with ticketing systems highly desired.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities will include:
· Work with engineering in evaluating platforms for the successful launch of
local telephony services (Residential, SoHo and Enterprise).
· Coordinate with the management team to ensure availability of products
from suppliers. Take the lead on assessing the status of product
availability. Address logistics and scheduling.
· Coordinate with Engineering on quality and design changes.
· Monitor and test equipment according to industry standards.
· Coordinate the scheduling of sub contractors performing work outside.
· Provide technical support to the field technicians on client equipment and
systems.
· Provide superior customer service either on site or over telephone.
· Follow-up to assure total satisfaction through product testing and client
contact.
· Work concurrently on several projects with a minimum of supervision or
guidance.
This position requires relocation to Bermuda for a minimum of 2-3 yrs - as
such, highly mobile individuals are sought. Compensation is very
competitive and is in $US equivalent, nearly tax free.
